Poem: the 20 best dressed women

Inspired by The 20 Best Dressed Women of 2014.

The Rules:  Each line is composed of words from one paragraph.  The words must stay in the order they appear.  I can use whatever punctuation I want.  (I changed one proper noun to a pronoun.)




the 20 best dressed women

One day elegant, regardless,
with a little help,
She walked right out.

She still has it.
Her real colors.

For a while now,
thanks to the clean, tailored extinction,
you know her, you love her, but you probably didn't.
Playing it safe isn't always a bad thing.

Thanks to being brought up better
her lean 'inspiration'
killed this past.
Only in ad campaigns
she emerged from regular people.

She just has enough,
a daring choice.

It seems like everywhere, at every turn, our favorite
never looked better than
one of those stars, who doesn't feel
truly her own.  She is.
