Photogsnazzy: A Rose is an Iris is a Gerber Daisy

Just because flowers are pretty here are a couple more favorite flower photos from the Rose Parade floats.

Photogsnazzy: A Rose is a Rose is a Rose

For New Years I had the chance to see the Rose Parade Floats!  There were so many beautiful flowers!  and it was great to get a chance to see so many colors in the middle of winter!

Here are a few I took of the abundance of roses I saw.

Come On Get Crafty: Small Square Magnet

My mom never has enough magnets on the fridge to hold everything on.  So I made her another.

I doodled on a 2 in x 2 in mini canvas and then applied an adhesive magnet to the back.

Let's hope it lasts!

In the Papier: Flower Power

I indulgently went to Michaels over the weekend.  I always tell myself that this time I won't browse the discount racks 'for curiosity's sake' and of course I always do.

But this time I'm a little glad that I didn't miss out on these cards, because I really like them a lot!

The last is definitely my favorite.

My Best Dressed from Golden Globes 2013

1. Lucy Liu

Generally, I think this was a love it or hate it dress, but I loved it! I think she looks great.  and I love her hair!

2.  Ariel Winter

So cute and classy! With the shoes and headband.  Her stylist deserves a serious gold star for this one.

3.  Rachel Weiz

I am surprised that I like this one, because I'm a little tired of sheer and sheer polka dots, but this dress just looks really good!

4.  Marion Cotillard

She's almost always got something perfect, but I think she's one of the only ones who could pull of asymmetrical and orange.

5.  Amy Poehler

The jacket!  The cropped pants!  The heels!  It's all superb.

6.  Helen Mirren

Just a great dress on a beautiful woman.  The details are magnificent and so casually classy.  (I'm a little unsure how she walks with such a long skirt though.)

7.  Zooey Deschanel

I just really like the way the skirt drapes and the simplicity.

8.  Kate Hudson & Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

I also liked these designs.  Very formidable and flattering.

Honorable Mention: Jeremy Irons keeps wearing tailcoats to these things and it's great.

Least favorites:
Lena Dunham
Kerry Washington
Anne Hathaway
Jessica Chastain (I love her! but the dress was very not good!)
Halle Berry
Connie Britton (ok, her dress was fine.  I was just hoping for something a little more because she is very cool.)

January 9, 2013

Still got up late.  Means I forgot to feed the fish.  And forgot to pack my hard-boiled egg for lunch.  Pretty displeased about the latter.

Although nothing much terrible happened, had the impression that it was a bad day at work.

Had a random thought: The worst crazy people are the people who are crazy but think they are very sane.  Although, don't know if I agree with this.

Florence + the Machine revival.  Yes, again.

Drank too much diet coke.

Wasn't in the mood for hulu.
